s²-2s+1-1-10,

(s-1)²-11.

This is expressible as the difference of two squares:

(s-1+√11)(s-1-√11), so the zeroes are s=1-√11 and s=1+√11.

√11=3.3166 approx, so s=-2.3166 and s=4.3166.
