y=0.25x²+2x+1,

4y=x²+8x+4=x²+8x+16-12,

4y=(x+4)²-12,

4y=(x+4-√12)(x+4+√12),

y=¼(x+4-√12)(x+4+√12).

√12 is the same as √(4×3)=2√3.

y=¼(x+4-2√3)(x+4+2√3).
