If you have to get an answer with 3 significant digits and your answer is 5.55 do you change it to 5.65 (since the last digit is equal to 5 and the one before it an odd number? I know you can't increase the second 5 by one and drop numbers after it like usual because I have to have 3 sig figs in my answer. Help please

You have three significant figures so no rounding is needed. 0.0555 is 5.55×10^-2 or 5.55E-2.

If you round to 2 sig figs you get 5.6.
