What are the coordinates of the vertex of V(w)=0.25(w1)^(2)+0.25?

Enter your answer as an ordered pair, using decimal numbers rounded to the hundredths place

What you have here is a quadratic.

The vertex will occur when the slope of the curve is equal to zero.

dV/dw = -0.25*2*(w - 1) = (1 - w )/2

when dV/dw = 0, then w = 1.

At w = 1, V(0) = -0.25*0 + 0.25

V = 0.25

Thus the vertex is at (w, X) = (1, 0.25)
