Let B be the variable for Belita’s money and L for Lucy’s money.

L=B-14 is an expression for Lucy’s money in terms of Belita’s.

For each value of Belita’s money we can use this expression to find Lucy’s:

L=75-14=$61

L=68-14=$54

L=54-14=$40
