First, work out 7/2 as a mixed number 3½. 

Next we take the whole numbers and arrange them in order: 5, 4, 3, 3, 3.

Straightaway we can see that 5¼ is the greatest followed by 4.1.

That leaves the 3 numbers starting with 3. Of these the number 3 is the least. Now we have two to decide which is greater: 3.3 (which I think might be 3.333... because of the bar) and 3½ which is the same as 3.5. .5 is greater tha .3 so we now know that the order of the three numbers beginning with 3 is: 3.5, 3.3, 3.

The final order is therefore: 5¼, 4.1, 3.5, 3.3 and 3.
