3 1/7 is 3.142857142857... so π is smaller than this.

3 10/71 is 3.140845... so π is bigger than this.

Therefore π lies in between: 3 10/71 and 3 1/7. In order from least to greatest we have:

3 10/71, π, 3 1/7. Archimedes was right!
