log x-log 2=3 how do you solve?

i dont understand how to solve it im not that gudd at the whole "log" thing

log(x)-log(2)=3,

log(x/2)=3.

Assuming logs to base 10:

x/2=103=1000,

x=2000.

If logs to base b, then x=2b3.
