1/3 of Set A has a mean of 70; 2/3 of Set A has a mean of 80; Calculate the combined mean.

This was a question from a unit on probability.  I don't quite understand why it is probability.

Twice as much data has a mean of 80 as has a mean of 70 so total 70+2×80=230. Mean is 230/3=76.67 approx.
