how do i solve -1/9(y-6)=1/6(y+4/5)

The equation is,

-1/9(y-6)=1/6(y+4/5)

Multiply out the brackets

-(1/9)y + 2/3 = (1/6)y + 2/15

2/3 - 2/15 = (1/6)y + (1/9)y

(10 - 2)/15 = (1/6 + 1/9)y

8/15 = (3 + 2)/18 * y

8/15 = 5/18 *y

y = (8/15)(18/5) = 48/25

Answer: y = 48/25

Given solve -1/9(y-6)=1/6(y+4/5)
-1(y-6)*6=((y+4)/5)9
-6(y-6)=9(y+4)/5
144/5-39y/5=0
y=48/13
