So 1000*3/5 (600 words) at 13/2 words per minute means we need to divide the number of words by the speed to work out the time: 1000*3/5/(13/2), which is answer D. [To work this out we divide 600 by 13/2 which means (you've guessed it!) 600*2/13=1200/13=92 4/13 minutes. 4/13 of a minute is 4/13 of 60 seconds=240/13=18.5 seconds approx.]
