line 1...x+y-2z=5   or x+y=2z+5

line 2...x+z=4

line 3...y-z=6

line 2+line3...x+y=10 or y=10-x

but line 2z=10-5 & z=5/2

line 2...x=4-z...4-(5/2)...3/2

line 3...y=z+6...6+(5/2)...17/2
Call the equations A, B and C.

B+C: D: x+y=10

Substitute D in A: 10-2z=5, 2z=5, z=2.5.

Substitute for z in B: x=1.5.

Substitute for z in C: y=8.5.

Substitute for x, y and z in A as a check: 1.5+8.5-5=5, so values check out OK.
