Problem: how do I solve 12/x=18/6
Given: MN/NO=MP/PQ find PQ
MN=18
NO=6
MP=12

12/x = 18/6

On the right side of the equation, the ratio
is 3:1, so obviously the same ratio on the
left side of the equation means that x is 4.
Since PQ represents x, PQ = 4.
