3(7 - 9x) - 5(5x + 1) = -8(9x - 4)

distribute on both sides:

21 - 27x - 25x - 5 = -72x + 32

combine terms on the left:

16 - 52x = -72x + 32

add 52x to both sides:

16 = -20x + 32

subtract 32 from both sides:

-16 = -20x

divide both sides by -20:

x = -16/-20 = 4/5
