assume that 50 of each of ticket were sold. The amount taken is 87.50

extension of problem: 100 tickets were sold for a total of $85.00 how many adult and how many adult and how many student tickets were sold

Not enough information given for this problem and the total amount differs

we can only assume that $85 / 50 = the cost of one adult and one student ticket combined.

Assume that the Poisson distribution applies and that the mean number of aircraft accidents is 6 per month.  Find P(9), the probability that in a month, there will be exactly 9 aircraft accidents.  Is it unlikely to have a month with 9 aircraft accidents?
