[sqrt(3)-sqrt(12)]^2....sqrt(12)=sqrt(4*3)....=2*sqrt(3)

become 3 +12 -2*sqrt(36)

=15-2*6

=15-12

=3

Do you mean ( sqrt(3)x - sqrt(12) )^2 = 3 or ( sqrt(3x) - sqrt(12) )^2 = 3 ?
