the 100th place is the second zero after the decimal.  Since it is followed by a 6, then round the zero up to a 1 dropping the rest of the numbers.  Answer = 0.01

a cereal company wants to change the dimension of its boxes while keeping the same volume.the box designers are to increase the height of the box by 30% and reduce the width.before the chance ,the dimension of the box are l=20 cm, h=40 cm, and w=30 cm. if the length of the new box remains the same what will be its height and width rounded to the nearest hundreth of a centimeter?

Volume
= 20 * 40 * 30
= 24000 cm^3

The height is currently 40cm.
If you increase that by 30%, you will have 1.3 * 40 = 52cm = 52.00cm

Let the new width be x.

24000 = 52 * x * 20
24000 = 1040x
x = 24000 / 1040
x = 23.07692308 cm ~ 23.08 cm
