Computer store sold a total of 300 items last month.  The store sold 6 times as many drives as they did CD drives and 1/2 as many floppy drives as hard drives.  how many of each item were sold?

please show how you come up with this.  I am stumped.

C=number of CD drives, so 6C=no. of hard drives. No. of floppy disk drives=1/2 the number of hard drives=6C/2=3C.
The total number of items 300=C+6C+3C=10C. So C=30.
Therefore, the number of hard drives=180 and the number of floppy drives=90.
