Drop perpendicular CN from C on to AB. Angle CAN=angle CAB=180-150=30 degrees. Angle N is 90 degrees.

CN/36=sin30=0.5, so CN=18 feet. If we drop a perpendicular C'N' from C' on to A'B' on the other wing, C'N'=18 feet because the wings are congruent. A', B' and N' on the other wing are in corresponding positions to A, B and N on the wing which is marked. Thd length of CN is the height of each triangular wing. The wing span is CC'=CN+NN'+C'N'=18+5+18=41 feet. Note that the wing length of 19 feet CB is not used in the calculation, because it is unnecessary.
