The 5D Process is made up of a table and a quick description to help solve math problems.  The first D is for Describe - describe the situation. The second D is for Define - define each item.  The third D is for Do - add, subtract, multiply, divide, square root, or compare.  The fourth D is for Decide - decide if the numbers are correct.  The fifth D is for Declare - declare the outcome or what the answer was in a complete sentence.
