Synthetic division by i:

i | 1 -3       7

    1  i   | -1-3i (add)

    1 i-3 |  6-3i (remainder). Quotient=x+i-3.

SOLUTION x+i-3 remainder 6-3i.

CHECK

(x-i)(x+i-3)+6-3i=x2+ix-3x-ix+1+3i+6-3i=x2-3x+7✔️
