y=4x+2 is a linear equation so its graph is a straight line. To draw a straight line graph we only need two points. The best two are the intercepts. When x=0, y=2 (y-intercept) so mark 2 on the y-axis. When y=0, 4x=-2, x=-½ (x-intercept), so mark -½ on the x-axis. Draw the line through these two points to get the graph.
