Or do you mean (x2+2x+6)/(x-3)?

Synthetic division:

3 | 1 2     6

     1 3 | 15

     1 5 | 21 (remainder)

x+5 is the quotient, 21 is the remainder.

(x-3)(x+5)+21=x2+2x-15+21=x2+2x+6.
