Problem: c2 – 4c = 0
i need to solve this i have done it two different ways and got two different answers

I'm going to risk making an assumption, that c2 is actually c^2.

c^2 - 4c = 0
We can factor the left side:
(c - 4)(c + 0) = 0

Setting the factors to zero, we solve for c.

c - 4 = 0
c = 4

and
c + 0 = 0
c = 0

Answer: c = 4  and  c = 0

In case you are wondering, this graphs as a parabola, opening upward, crossing the x axis downward at (0, 0), bottoming out at (2, -4), and rising through (4, 0).
