ln(x+4)-ln(4)=ln(x/4+1)=(x/4)-(1/2)(x/4)^2+(1/3)(x/4)^3...

Divide by x: (1/4)-(1/2)x/16+...=1/4 when x=0. So the limit as x approaches zero is 1/4.
