6x^2-43x=-77, move everything left so that equation is=0, 6x^2-43x+77=0 Use quadratic formula substitute values should look like this x=43+/-sqrt(-43)^2-4(6)(77)divided by 2(6) , simplify inside radical x=(43+-1)/2(6), simplify the demonator x=(43+/-1)/12, then solve positive part for 11/3 and negative 7/2. x=11/3,7/2
