Synthetic division where x-a, i.e., x+4 is the divisor:

-4 | 1 -9.....5.....-7......10

......1 -4...52 -228....940

......1 -13 57 -235..| 950

p(-4)=4^4+9*4^3+5*4^2+28+10=256+576+80+28+10=950.
