No, circles are not polygons. A polygon has multiple sides and a circle has no sides. A regular polygon with a large number of sides resembles a circle, for example, a polygon with 1000 sides, but it's still a polygon. Looking at a circle in this way would mean it has an infinite number of sides, and infinity cannot be defined.

A circle has only one "side" just as a sphere has only one surface.
