y^2(7-8)+y(-3+8)=0=-y^2+5y=0 (answer C) can be solved: y(-y+5)=0: y=0 or 5.

Given (7y^2-3y)=(8y^2-8y)
7y^2-3y-8y^2+8y=0
5y-y^2=0
y(5-y)=0
y=0 or y=5
