1 Answer

y = 3x - 2

y = 7x + 2

Set each equation equal to each other

3x - 2 = 7x + 2

Add 2 to both sides

3x = 7x + 4

Add 3x on both sides and subtract 4 on both sides

4x = -4

divide both sides by 4

x = -1

Substitute x into equation 1 and solve for y

y = 3(-1) - 2

y = -5
