The two points have the same x-coordinate which means one point is directly above the other. The distance between them is just the difference between the y-coordinates:

7⅔-3¾=23/3-15/4.

LCD is 3×4=12.

23/3-15/4=(4×23)/12-(3×15)/12=(92-45)/12=47/12=311/12.
