Log(1/e)=-log(e)=-1 if log to base e (natural log).

ln(1/e) = ln(e^(-1))                                           1/e = e^(-1)

           = - 1 ln(e)  = - 1*1 = - 1                        lne^-1  = 1 lne    and ln(e) = 1
