1 Answer

2(4-10x)=-(-2-6x)

use distributive property to get

8 - 20x = 2 + 6x

subtract 8 from both sides to get

-20x = 2 - 8 + 6x

subtract 6x from both sides to get

-20x - 6x = -6

multiply both sides by -1 to get

20x + 6x = 6

collect like terms to get

26x = 6

divide both sides by 26 to get

x = 6/26 or 3/13
