3b-7>7b-4 is solved like an equation:

Subtract 3b from each side of the inequality:

-7>4b-4.

Add 4 to each side:

-3>4b.

Divide both sides by 4:

-¾>b. This is the same as b<-¾ and is the solution. This is a range for b, rather than a unique solution (as would be the case if this were an equation instead of an inequality). It means that any value less than -¾ (that is, more negative than -¾) satisfies the inequality. For example, b=-1 satisfies the original inequality (-10>-11 is true).
