Using the SOS, EraTech sends out invoices monthly and will give discounts if payments are made within 10 days. The discount policy is as follows: If the amount of the order for computer supplies is greater than $1,000, subtract 4 percent for the order; if the amount is between $500 and $1,000, subtract a 2 percent discount; if the amount is less than $500, a discount is not applicable. All orders made via the Web will automatically receive an extra 5 percent discount.

Amt is the amount before discount. The final amount to be paid is Pay, and Pay may be modified between START and Finish according to the answers to the decision questions:

• Is the amount more than $1000?
• Is the amount between $500 and $1000?
• Is payment being made via the Web?

For any discount to be applied there could be an additional question: is payment being made within 10 days? If this decision is to be incorporated, and is independent of whether the payment is via the Web, then it should precede the first decision (concerning the amount to be invoiced). If a discount is to be applied to all payments via the Web, the question of timing should be inserted immediately before the question about Web payment.
