solve by eliminations 3x-5y=-9,4x+5y=23?

   3x -  5y =  -9
+(4x + 5y = 23)
----------------------
7x           = 14
x = 2

4(2) + 5y = 23
8 + 5y = 23
5y = 15
y = 3

Check it:
3(2) -  5(3) =  -9
6 - 15 = -9
-9 = -9

x = 2 and y = 3
