If the side of the square is length x, then the area of the square=x2.

Numerically this area is also 4x+5 so x2=4x+5, x2-4x-5=0=(x-5)(x+1), making x=5 (the side cannot be a negative length).

So the area of the square is 25 (square units). 5 more than the length of 4 times the length of the side=4x+5=20+5=25 (units).
