2y+x=4 equals what??
Im confused something about issolate variable

Problems of this type usually want the y variable
on the left side of the equation, and everything else
on the right side. You are solving for y in terms of x.

2y + x = 4

2y + x - x = 4 - x
2y = 4 - x
2y / 2 = (4 - x) / 2
y = 4 - 1/2 x

Convention puts the x term ahead of the constant, so

y = -1/2 x + 4

This just happens to be the equation of a line
in slope  intercept form.

y = -1/2 x + 4
I just caught my own error.
I forgot to divide the 4 by 2.
The correct answer is:
y = -1/2 x + 2
