sec^2x-tan^2x=1

(x+1/4x)^2-1=tan^2x

tan^2x=x^2+1/16x^-1/2

tanX = plus or minus(x-1/4)secX+tanX=(x+1/4x)+(x-1/4x) = 2x

                             or

(x+1/4x)-x-1/4x) = 1/2x
