There are 12 combinations of rolling 4 dice so that the sum is 14:

1166, 1256, 1346, 1355, 1445, 2246, 2255, 2336, 2345, 2444, 3335, 3344.

These results arrange the values of each die in numerical order. The actual throws of the dice may be, for example, 6116, 1661, 6161, 1616, 1166, 6611 for the ordered combination 1166. (When all the values are different there are 24 different arrangement of throws; when two values are the same there are 12; when 3 are the same there are 4. So for each of the above combinations there are 6+24+24+12+12+12+6+12+24+4+4+6=146.)
