My square root problem is y= √ (x +4 )  +2

The Vertex is (-4, 2)

 

How do you get the vertex from the calculator? I know how to graph it, but beyond that I'm stumped.

for some reason it isn't graphing correctly on the TI-84 when I input it. It should look like the following:

vertex of a parabola square root of x minus 4 plus 2

When I graphed it on the ti-84 it gave me something completely different.  This should be the correct graph.

Thank you! I was actually asking how to get the vertex to show on the calculator, so that even if you dont know it, you could figure it out with the calculator? How do you do that?
