4x(2y - 7) , when x = -3 and y  = 12
= 4(-3)[2(12) - 7] {substituted -3 for x and 12 for y}
= -12[24 - 7] {multiplied 4 by -3 and 2 by 12}
= -12(17) {subtracted 24 - 7}
= -204 {multiplied}
