y = 3x^2 + 24x + 20

complete the square

y = 3(x^2 +8x + 64) + 20 +(3*64) remember the factor of 3 when we completed the square.

y = 3(x + 8)^2 + 212

The axis of symetry is x = 8.

The vertex is (8, 212)

There are no x-intercepts because the parabola goes upward.

The y-intercept is (0, 212).
