2t+4 over 6=4t over 9

(2t + 4) / 6 = (4t) / 9

Multiply both sides by 18

18 * (2t + 4) / 6 = 18 * (4t) / 9

3 * (2t + 4) = 2 * (4t)

6t + 12 = 8t

12 = 2t

t = 6

Substitute the answer into the original equation

((2 * 6) + 4) / 6 = (4 * 6) / 9

(12 + 4) / 6 = 24 / 9

16 / 6 = 2.666666

2.666666 = 2.666666
