What is the slope of the following lines is parallel to 4x+12y=24

Parallel lines have the same slope. Re-work this equation so that
it is slope-intercept form.

4x + 12y = 24
12y = -4x + 24
y = -1/3x + 1

The slope is -1/3 for this line and for all lines parallel to it.
