if the length of a rectangle is 5 inches longer than half of its width and the area is 72 square inches how many inches wide is the rectangle.?

rektangel: area=72...=leng*wide

leng=(wide/2)+5

area=[(wide/2)+5]*wide

2*area=wide*wide +10*wide=144

or x^2 +10x-144=0

quadratik giv wide=+8  (ignore -18)

leng=5+4=9.....9*8=72
