-8x-7=-4(2x+1)-3, so g(x)=(8x-7)/(2x+1)=-4-3/(2x+1).

So the steps from f to g are:

f(x)=1/x

f(x)=1/(x+½) (left shift of 0.5)

f(x)=-1/(x+½) (reflection in x-axis)

f(x)=-3/(2x+1) (dilation)

f(x)=-4-3/(2x+1) (downward shift)=g(x)
