3x+5=2x+9

This is quite a simple question.

Move the numbers so x's are on one side and so the numbers are on one side. Remember, when you move something over the = sign, the positive/negative sign changes to the opposite.

Move the 2x over so it becomes 3x-2x+5=9

Move the 5 over so it becomes 3x-2x=9-5

Solve the equation so far

1x=4

Divide the number by the number before the x

4/1=4

x = 4

take the 3x and subtract that from both sides getting -x+9 so it looks like this 5=-x+9 then subtract 9 from both sides then you get your awnser.
