Solve 3y=2x, y=2/3x-2

3(2/3x-2)=2x                           Substituting y value into the equation
6/3x-2=2x                                Expand
6=2x(3x-2)
6=6x^2-4x                                Take out the common factors
2x(3x-2)=6
2x=6 and 3x-2=6                    Then solve for x
x=3 and x=2/3
