I agree, a whiteboard type of feature would be great. We are investigating several options to make that work.  We have also been working on an equation editor.  It is not complete as of yet but here is what we have so far:

You use the buttons to insert symbols and then type inside of the brackets to construct the equation you want. When you click outside of the box it is translated below the box.

Experiement with it a bit and let me know what you think.  I am trying to find a way to implement it into the current site.  Thanks for your input and your answers!  Please respond with your feedback on the editor.

(Maybe is much to ask...Idk...but I was thinking abt a white table whr u can write like u do in paint...it'd be very easy for me to write in that)
